Quo vadis, real estate industry? Undoubtedly one of the questions to which visitors to this year's EXPO REAL were looking for answers - and found them. A total of 1,856 exhibitors from 36 countries and more than 40,000 participants from 70 countries came to Europe's largest trade fair for real estate and investment in Munich from October 4 to 6, 2023. The total number of participants was divided into almost 20,000 trade visitors and 20,312 company representatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis year in particular, EXPO REAL has once again proven that it is the industry's working trade fair and offers a platform for discussing existing challenges, solutions and opportunities,\u201d says Stefan Rummel, CEO of Messe M\u00fcnchen. \u201cThe real estate industry is facing one of the toughest times in a long time. Rising interest rates, stagnating construction projects, inflation - the problems are manifold. For precisely these reasons, the participants here in Munich spent three days exchanging ideas and engaging in discussions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just how great the need for discussion was was also evident in the well-attended conference programme, in which not only ESG, digitalization, urban development and demographic change, but also topics such as housing construction and (re)financing were discussed, in some cases critically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
